II. Our colonies' coloured population 1913.

For the first time the official report contains data on the indigenous and not indigenous population of all protectorates. Togo has (partrly based on census, partly on estimates) 1,031,715, Kamerun (census and estimate) 4,148,000, SWA 81,485 (without the Ovambos) indigenous and non-indigenous coloureds, Ostafrika 7,645,000 indigenous and 14,898 non-indigenous coloureds, Neu-Guinea (estimated) 600,000 , Samoa 33,660 aborigines and 2,452 chinese and melanesian workers, so that the coloured population of our colonies adds to a little over 13 million.
