The funeral of John F. Kennedy |
The whole nation was dismayed when it took part in the funeral procession of the youngest and most shining president of the United States, John F. Kennedy. The funeral procession started at the White House from where the armed forces carried the coffin to the Capitol in Washington. America was mourning. A lot of important people came to honor John F. Kennedy, especially head-of-state members and representatives, the German President Heinrich Lübke and the Chancellor Ludwig Erhard. Soldiers were escorting the procession. At Arlington National Cemetary, they buried John F. Kennedy, where many other American heroes had found their rest, too. John F. Kennedy`s last words: “I see the storm come. And I see God´s hand at work. If HE has a place for me – I am ready!” |
