Meyer's Konversationslexikon 1902-1909, Article : Eynatten
Eynatten, August Friedrich, Freiherr von, born in 1798, died on March 7th 1860, son of an old noble family in Rhenish Prussia, rose in Austria's military service to the rank of lieutenant field marshall and governor of Verona, but in the Italian War of 1859 was responsible of large-scale embezzlement, which became publicly known in the trial against bank director Franz Richter, and ended by suicide.
