The Seventh Huguenot War, 1579-1580



Decided upon by Huguenot King HENRI OF NAVARRA. Fellow Huguenot Conde took La Fere (Nov. 22nd 1579) which gave him full conttol over the Picardie and Peronne. Henri of Navarra took CAHORS (June 1st 1580). The war was ended by the TREATY OF NERAC followed by the PEACE OF FLEIX, Nov. 26th 1580.
The war is also referred to as the "War of the Lovers" (of Margaret of Valois, sister of King Henri III. of France and wife of King Henri of Navarra)
