Ottoman Iraq until 1864 consisted of the Eyalets of Basra, Baghdad and Mosul, from 1864 to 1917 of the Vilayets (provinces) of Basra (Bassora, Bassorah, Bussorah), Baghdad and Mosul. Part of the Ottoman Empire until 1918.
