Palestinian National Authority | Jordan |
Until 1917 part of Ottoman Syria, until 1948 part of the British Mandate of Palestine,
the partition plan of 1947 foresaw the West Bank to form part of the Arab State of Palestine (to be created). In the
course of the First Arab-Israeli War 1948, the West Bank was occupied and,
until 1967, administrated by Jordan. Then the area came under
Israeli occupation. see also Palestinian National Authority Predecessors : Territory : British Mandate of Palestine, Ottoman Empire, Ottoman Syria Predecessors : Population : British Mandate of Palestine Historical Atlas, Palestine, Israel Pages Students' Paper : Choi, Jungyun, The Political Structure of the Continuation of the Israeli-Palestine Conflict (2008) |
