Montenegro 1941-1945

In April 1941 Yugoslavia's defense quickly succumbed to the German army and their allies. The kingdom was partitioned, Montemegro fell into the Italian sector.
In 1943, when Italy signed an armistice with the Allies, Germans took over the administration of Montenegro. They spent limited attention to the remote and mountainous territory, which was used as an area of operation by Tito's partisans.
