Slovenia 1918-1941

On December 1st 1918, the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes (SHS) was proclaimed, as a constitutional monarchy. Following a row in parliament, where a Montenegrin deputee shot and killed a Croat deputee, King Alexander in 1929 established royal dictatorship. The country was renamed Yugoslavia, and administratively reorganized. Slovenia largely coincides with the newly created Drava Banovina, the center of administration being Ljubljana.
Radio Slovenia began broadcasting in 1928.
