Sumbawa Sumba

The Sultanate of Bima has been established by Gowa-Makassar in the early 17th century; by 1626, Islam had roots on Sumbawa. The Sultanate of Bima signed treaties with the Dutch East Indies in 1886 and 1907/1908, when the Dutch East Indies formally took over the administration of its territory.
