The Buddhist Kingdom of Sailendra on Java is dated from the mid 7th century to 852. It is responsible for the construction of Borobudur. When expelled from Central Java in 852 by Mataram the dynasty "took over" the Kingdom of Srivijaya centered on Sumatra (see there).
