| SAT II stands for "Scholastic Aptitude Test, Level II";
it is intended for U.S. or foreign high school students. US colleges and universities require a certain number of SAT II subject tests from their applicants. At Korean Minjok Leadership Academy, the course of SAT II World History is arranged in 6 segments : |
|
(0) Basic World Geography (1) Early and Ancient History (2) Asian, African, American History (3) Europe : the Middle Ages (4) Europe : Early Modern History (5) Europe : since the French Revolution |
|
Basic knowledge of World Geography (segment 0) is regarded a precondition for participation in the SAT World History course.
Students who feel insecure in this area may study an atlas and/or work through the workbook and quiz sections of this website Segments (1) to (3) are taught in the course SAT II World History, which covers 1 term; segments (4) and (5) will be covered, more extensively, in the course AP European History to be taught the subsequent two terms. As classtime is extremely short, not every topic can be dealt with intensively in class. Students are expected to cover topics touched only superficially in class on their own by individual reading and/or by using the workbook and quiz section of this website. |
