Punch was a weekly magazine; we will use a set of copies of full-page cartoons issued in 1898-1900. Students who write papers in May will (a) write about the historical background (f.ex. give a brief account of the history of the event in question, or / and the situation of the entities (countries / powers / what the topic requires) in question), (b) select the cartoons refer to it, and (c) analyze the position(s) of the cartoonists / of Punch.
The final term test is going to be in essay format, open book test, and will be related to the Punch Cartoons.

First claim, by email or verbal, gets the topic; every topic only once.
