Sample Students' papers on Military history
Han, Chang Hee, Greek Civil War (2007; research paper)
Chung, Habin Economic Factors in 19th Century Chinese Rebellions (2005, term paper)
Kwak, Suk Chun, Development, Deployment & Impact of Airborne Infantry during WWII (2005, research paper)
Kim, Kyung Mook, History of the Civil War in Sri Lanka since 1983 (2006, term paper)
Cho, Namje, The War of Spanish Succession 1701-1714 (2007, term paper)
Kim, Hyun Kyu, Sieges in Medieval Warfare : the First and Fourth Crusade
A number of the sample papers are rather detailed and lengthy. For the term papers for October 2008, perhaps the best 'role model'
to look at is the last one. Hyun Kyu's paper stresses analysis over a narration of facts, and is of reasonable length and depth.
The papers for October should give a narrative survey and should contain an independent analysis.
First claim, by email or verbal, gets the topic; every topic only once.
