Emil - Thoma - RS Freiburg

Hiking Paths through the Black Forest called "Emil-Thoma-Wanderwege".


The two paths can easily be reached by public transport. The first path "The Praesident-Thoma-Weg" starts from the train station of Denzlingen. You follow the blue rhomb up to the "Wissereck" (402 m altitude). Within half an hour you will reach the "Kandel Pyramid" (1243 m) from where you have a wonderful view on the peaks of the Black Forest. The bus stop is quite near to bring you back to Denzlingen. The distance up to the top is about 14 km, the ascent 1000 m.	The second path starts from the "Kessler Mühle Hotel" in Hinterzarten. (Hinterzarten can easily be reached by train from Freiburg). You follow the green point to the "Häuslebauernhof" (1100 m). From there the path leads you through dark forests and open farmland up to the "Seebuck" (1495 m), Feldberg. Distance: about 12 km, ascent 550 m.
