The Music & Dance Project


The music & dance project was set up in 1992/93 and is run by Regina Stephan. Besides bigger productions, musical school life has been highlighted on several occasions such as Christmas and other festivities Some of the productions were developed in cooperation with the theatre project. Therefore they are described in this paragraph as well as in the paragraph on theatre. The sing & dance company "saif in the djungle" presented on March 22,1994 the opening night of "Dschungel-Report" - ("DjungleReport") (dance theatre) The story uses songs of the Disney musical "Djungle Book" and is enriched by many new mass choreographies with new rhythmical grooves.	March 29, 1 995 opening night of "Bananas" (musical) Working together in both the theatre-project and the dance & musicproject students from different nations met and transformed "Bananas" a drama by Berlin Gripstheater into a musical. Most of the productions are available on video for a small fee and can be ordered by eMail or mailing address of the school. Besides those main productions videos of smaller productions are also available such as: a team work of the subjects industrial lab & music:"Carnival of the animals" by Camille Saint - Saens performed as a dance with masks and a shadow play by students of 5th grade a team work of the subjects German & music:"The sorcerer's apprentice" a) poem (ballad) by Goethe b) symphonic poetry by Paul Dukas students of 7th grade perform a dance theatre pantomime based on Dukas music.
