(1) The original text lists the Congo Free State under "British Colonies"; on the previous page, it was, with more justification, allocated to Belgium. In 1908 the state was transferred into Belgian possession; it never was British.
(2) Eritrea here is listed under "Portuguese Colonies", but it was Italian.
(3) The Sudan, here listed in the column "Portuguese Colonies", was, as expressed by the added attribute, Anglo-Egyptian.
